Brief reports of matches played in the Primera Liga on Sunday:

DEPORTIVO CORUNA 1 REAL ZARAGOZA 1

Zaragoza's Argentine striker Diego Milito nodded in a deflected shot in the 17th minute, but Depor's Argentine defender Fabricio Coloccini headed an equaliser in the 53rd.

Depor had defender Chapi sent off in the 88th and Zaragoza hit the post at the end. The result did little for under-fire coaches Miguel Angel Lotina and Victor Fernandez.

GETAFE 1 VILLARREAL 3

Villarreal's Turkish striker Nihat Kahveci burst through the centre to net the opener in the 16th minute and added a second in the 79th from Santi Cazorla's pull back.

Cazorla made it three in the 84th and two minutes later Getafe striker Kepa Blanco pounced on an error to cut the deficit.

Villarreal had Argentine defender Fabricio Fuentes sent off in the 90th, but Kepa missed the ensuing penalty. Villarreal ended a run of three games without a win.

REAL BETIS 3 ALMERIA 1

Almeria striker Alvaro Negredo converted a 10th minute penalty but the visitors were down to 10 men in the 15th when Peruvian defender Santiago Acasiete collected his second yellow card.

Almeria goalkeeper David Cobeno got a straight red for a foul in the area and Betis's Brazilian striker Edu scored from the following penalty in the 28th.

Argentine striker Mariano Pavone struck Betis's second in the 51st and added a third on a breakaway in the 83rd.

REAL MADRID 2 OSASUNA 0

Dutch striker Ruud van Nistelrooy headed Real ahead from a Wesley Sneijder free kick in the 16th minute, but Osasuna belied their lowly position to dominate possession for long periods.

Dutch midfielder Sneijder finished off a swift counter-attack with a long-range shot in the 76th minute, to maintain the leaders' 100 percent home record and leave them four points clear of Barcelona ahead of next weekend's 'clasico' against their Catalan archrivals.

REAL MALLORCA 0 ATHLETIC BILBAO 0

Mallorca lost Portuguese defender Jose Carlos Nunes to a red card in the 34th minute but Bilbao failed to make the extra man count and Mallorca almost nicked it at the end.

REAL MURCIA 2 RACING SANTANDER 1

Murcia's Swedish striker Henok Goitom scored with a diving header in the 57th minute, but Racing's Polish forward Ebi Smolarek levelled with a header from a corner in the 63rd.

Murcia's Brazilian striker Fernando Baiano hit the winner from the penalty spot in the 83rd.

RECREATIVO HUELVA 0 ATLETICO MADRID 0

Atletico created the clearer chances but were unable to find a way past Recre's Italian goalkeeper Stefano Sorrentino, and had their own Italian stopper Christian Abbiati to thank for securing a point in the second half.

VALLADOLID 0 SEVILLA 0

Valladolid foiled yet another big name at the Zorrilla but should have made more of their numerical advantage after Sevilla had defender Federico Fazio and striker Luis Fabiano sent off in the 52nd and 82nd minutes respectively.

ESPANYOL 1 LEVANTE 0

Defender Daniel Jarque put Espanyol ahead in the ninth minute, slotting home a loose ball after his powerful header was saved on the line. It was bottom club Levante's eighth consecutive away defeat.

VALENCIA 0 BARCELONA 3

Barca dominated throughout against Valencia and took the lead when Cameroon striker Samuel Eto'o engineered an opening to crack in the first in the 13th minute.

A slick passing move released Eto'o to net the second in the 27th and substitute Giovani dos Santos set up Iceland's Eidur Gudjohnsen for the third in the 62nd.

Barca's second league away win came at a price, though, as Argentina's Lionel Messi limped off with a thigh injury. For Valencia it was their sixth match in all competitions without a goal.
