Racing's Argentine defender Ezequiel Garay scored with a far post volley from a corner in the seventh minute to earn his side only their second win of the campaign. - - - -

ATLETICO MADRID 2 OSASUNA 0

Atletico midfielder Raul Garcia scored with a low drive from outside the area against his former club in the 38th minute.

They made sure of their third straight win when Argentine striker Sergio Aguero ran from the halfway line to score his fifth of the season, nine minutes from time. - - - -

ESPANYOL 1 DEPORTIVO CORUNA 0

Depor created the clearer chances until Espanyol striker Raul Tamudo's unopposed header from Ferran Corominas's cross broke the deadlock in the 45th minute.

GETAFE 0 REAL MADRID 1

Getafe took the game to Real in search of their first win but ran their into an inspired Iker Casillas. Both sides hit the post in the first half though Getafe had the clearer chances before Real struck in the 65th minute.

Arjen Robben burst clear to cross for defender Sergio Ramos to score, and Julio Baptista hit the post later on. Casillas continued to thwart the home side but could only watch as Getafe defender Daniel Diaz crashed a header against the crossbar at the end.

REAL BETIS 3 REAL MALLORCA 0

Betis made all the running and were helped by the red card to Mallorca defender Sergio Ballesteros in the 38th minute. They took the lead when striker Xisco scored with a header from Juan Pablo Caffa's cross in the 59th.

Brazilian striker Rafael Sobis lashed in a long range shot in the 78th and compatriot Edu scored from close range in the 90th as Betis earned their first win. Mallorca had striker Daniel Guiza sent off at the end.

RECREATIVO HUELVA 0 VALENCIA 1

Valencia's Spain striker David Villa latched on to Carlos Marchena's long pass to round the keeper and score after just five minutes.

Recre fought back gamely and will be keen to examine post-match replays after having a couple of good shouts for penalties waved away. Recre had Carlos Martins sent off in the 83rd minute.

VALLADOLID 1 REAL MURCIA 4

Valladolid had defender Daniel Cifuentes sent off after only 24 minutes and went behind when Ivan Alonso crossed for midfielder Enrique de Lucas to score in the 27th.

In the 33rd Valladolid were reduced to nine when goalkeeper Ludovic Butelle was also sent off, but they levelled in the 49th with a superb glancing header from striker Joseba Llorente.

Brazilian striker Fernando Baiano restored the lead in the 76th, Alonso's shot from a freekick in the 81st literally burst the net, and two minutes from time midfielder Abel's cool lob made it four.

VILLARREAL 1 ATHLETIC BILBAO 0

Bilbao put the home side under pressure but fell behind when Marcos Senna picked out Fabricio Fuentes with a cross for the Argentine defender to score with a header in the 63rd minute.

It was Villarreal's fifth win in six games.

LEVANTE 1 BARCELONA 4

Barca's France striker Thierry Henry put away a loose ball after 17 minutes to claim his first Primera Liga goal and added a second seven minutes later after racing on to Lionel Messi's defence-splitting pass.

Henry completed his hat-trick in the 48th and Messi streaked in from the right to make it 4-0 two minutes later.

Levante pulled one back from the penalty spot through Emilio Viqueira in the 71st, but offered little and remain bottom with one point from six games.

REAL ZARAGOZA 2 SEVILLA 0

Sevilla had the better of a poor first half but in the 53rd minute Zaragoza's Argentine midfielder Andres D'Alessandro, a halftime substitute, scored with a curling freekick.

The UEFA Cup holders pressed hard and missed several chances before another substitute Sergio Garcia raced on to Gabi's pass and lifted the ball over Andres Palop with three minutes left. It was Sevilla's fourth consecutive defeat in all competitions.
