Portillo's Nantes move depends on Real Madrid pal Owen

Real Madrid striker Javier Portillo's move to Nantes has been put on-hold.

Nantes struck an agreement with Real over the weekend for a season-long loan for Spanish U21 international striker Portillo.

However, Real coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo won't give the move the green light until Michael Owen's situation is cleared up. If his proposed return to the Premiership falls through, only then will Luxemburgo give the all-clear for Portillo to move to France.
