Portillo delighted with Real Madrid return

Striker Javier Portillo has returned to Real Madrid after cutting short his loan with Fiorentina.

Real negotiated his early release following the sale of Fernando Morientes to Liverpool this week.

"For me, it is a happy day, because I return to my home and the team of all my life, that I have in my heart," said Portillo.

"But also I have to say that I am a little sad, because I leave this magnificent city (Florence) and fans who always have shown love to me."
