Vodafone has dumped England skipper David Beckham from their latest £4 million advertising campaign.

The Real Madrid ace was overlooked as Vodafone are unsure whether he will appeal to older customers.

Vodafone's decision has raised speculation that a bidding war could be about to begin with Real Madrid sponsors Siemens.

Beckham's Vodafone deal runs out at the end of the year.
