Perez stunner: Real Madrid DO want Beckham

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez has again reaffirmed the club's interest in David Beckham.

Only days out from Real's Champions League quarterfinals clash at Manchester United, Perez said yesterday: "In Madrid, Jorge Valdano is the one who makes decisions on transfers."

"I have made the decision once, which was with Figo for electoral reasons. "

"Jorge has repeated to me many times that Beckham is top of the list as far as players who can integrate themselves into the Madridista plan."
