Pellegrini defends Gago against Real Madrid boo-boys

Real Madrid coach Manuel Pellegrini jumped to the defence of Fernando Gago after yesterday's thrashing of Xerez.

The Argentina midfielder was booed relentlessly by home fans and Pellegrini said: "The public sees, feels and expresses itself. Sometimes it's as applause for some and whistles for others."

"They targeted Gago today, but it should not affect the player because his talent can reverse the situation."
