Parma star Gilardino welcomes Real Madrid interest

Parma striker Alberto Gilardino admits he welcomes the interest of Real Madrid.
 
Real Madrid general manager Arrigo Sacchi, who brought through Gilardino at Parma when he was football director, has urged president Florentino Perez to move for the 22 year-old when the summer market opens.

Gilardino said: "I believe that Arrigo Sacchi appreciates me as a player. It would not be bad for me to go to Real Madrid."

"Real are a formidable team, but we will have to wait and see what happens in the future."
