Parma ace Gilardino: I'd love Real Madrid move

Parma ace Alberto Gilardino has admitted he'd welcome the opportunity for talks with Real Madrid.

The Italy U21 international is Real coach Jose Antonio Camacho's preferred choice to replace Fernando Morientes if the centre-forward chooses to ask away from the Santiago Bernabeu.

"Clearly I would like that (to play for Real), Real Madrid is one of greatest clubs," admitted Gilardino to Marca.

"I am very young, but it does not scare me. I believe that I could do well. With stars like Ronaldo, Zidane, Figo, Raul... it is easy to play. They are so good... Now I am waiting to see what happens with Parma. I have news but there is nothing definitive."

Juventus and Manchester United are also confirmed suitors of the striker, who won't be sold by Parma until their ownership wrangle is settled.
