Parejo: I Was Born To Play For Real Madrid

After his recall to Real Madrid this week, Dani Parejo has said he was born to play for Los Blancos - and that they will win the league.

Real Madrid look like they are going to be making a few additions to their squad this winter, with Klaas-Jan Huntelaar and Dani Parejo already signed by the defending La Liga champions.

The latter returned from a loan spell at Queens Park Rangers yesterday,  and this evening he spoke at his official presentation about his joy at returning and his aspirations for the season.

"I am here to help the first-team in all aspects, I have come to support them. I believe that there are injuries and we are having some bad luck, but it is incredible, there is still no pressure," he declared.

"I come with all the affection as I was born to play for Real Madrid. It is a winning team and the best in the world."

"I have seen all the games of Real Madrid and I do not see a bad situation. Madrid are in the knock-out stages of the Champions League and twelve points behind Barcelona, I do not see any crisis. Last year it was nine points and we won the league, the team are convinced that we are going to win it again."

Parejo spent just a few months on loan at QPR and struggled for first-team football as he adapted to a new life in England. He spoke fondly about his time there today though, saying it was a 'difficult step' but the 'correct one.'

"I have become a better player and person and I do not regret it," he added.

Parejo could well be the first of many Real Madrid youngsters that Juande Ramos tries in the first-team, and he is optimistic about the future.

"Now, the objective is to play in the first-team and to take advantage of the opportunities that I get," he opined.

"It will be difficult but possible. Guti, [Iker] Casillas and Raúl are all from the youth team and one must set a goal and fight for that."
