Ozil assures Real Madrid chiefs Altintop feud now over

Mesut Ozil has given Real Madrid the green light to sign Bayern Munich midfielder Hamit Altintop.

The Turkey international is expected to sign with Real on a Bosman next week.

During their time in the Bundesliga, Altintop accused Ozil of committing to Germany "only for the money" when the midfielder also qualified for Turkey.

Real directors were aware of the feud and sounded out Ozil about where their relationship now stood.

Ozil made it clear that he had patched up his differences with Altintop and that they were now great friends.

Agent Reza Fazeli represents both players and also made it clear to Real that there is no lingering resentment between the midfield stars.
