Owen urges Real Madrid pal Ronaldo to ignore boo-boys

Real Madrid striker Michael Owen has told teammate Ronaldo to shrug off the boos he received from fans during Wednesday night's defeat of Real Betis.

Ronaldo was barracked by home fans, but Owen, who scored in the 3-1 win, said: "I don't think Ronaldo should worry himself about the boos. I am sure when he returns to scoring again the fans will start supporting him."

On his own performance, Owen added: "I am happy to score, though I had many chances to score again. I have nine goals and I hope to score more."

"It is always nice to score, especially when its the first goal of a game, which set us up for the win."
