Osasuna in talks with Real Madrid over Portillo deal

Osasuna have approached Real Madrid about a loan deal for wonder-kid Javier Portillo.

Club president Patxi Izco met with Real sports chief Jorge Valdano yesterday morning to discuss Portillo's availability. Osasuna wants to take the youngster on-loan for the rest of the season.

Real are still to decide what they will do with the young forward, who is unlikely to gain much first team action if Ronaldo stays fit.

Along with Osasuna, Benfica and Real Valladolid have also offered to take Portillo off Real's hands.
