Osasuna demand Real Madrid up Garcia offer

Real Madrid insist on paying Osasuna £3.5 million for midfielder Pablo Garcia.
 
The Uruguay international's agent, Paco Casal, met with Real and Osasuna officials yesterday to discuss his client's proposed move to Madrid.

Osasuna president Patxi Izco is unhappy with the fee on the table and rates Garcia at £6 million.

"Our first intention is to not sell Pablo Garcia, because he has become the flag of our team and one of the most valuable players," said Izco.

"Nevertheless, we are being forced to negotiate by the situation that has been created. Madrid is a too sweet a caramel for any player, and this includes Pablo Garcia."

"For Osasuna, if he leaves, it will be like losing a son."
