No time for celebrations, says Juve's Lippi

Juventus coach Marcello Lippi says his team will have no time to celebrate if they secure their 27th Italian league title on Saturday.

Victory over Perugia would earn Juve their second successive Serie A title but Lippi said his players would be back on the training ground on Sunday morning to prepare for Wednesday's Champions League semi-final, second leg against Real Madrid.

Juve trail 2-1 from the first leg in Spain.

"If everything goes well on Saturday then it will be right to express our joy but it will finish right there," Lippi said.

"We can have a little glass and then that's it - we have to start thinking about Real straight away" he added.

"We have lost two European finals in the past due to losing concentration after winning a title," he said.

Juve lost in the final to Borussia Dortmund in 1997 and Real Madrid in 1998 just days after 'scudetto' triumphs.

"We are not going to make the same mistake this year," added the silver-haired coach. "We know we have five days in front of us which could be exceptional."

"We hope that we will be able to finally secure the championship on Saturday and then everyone can concentrate everything on the challenge in the Champions League," he added.

With an eight-point advantage over Inter Milan and just three games to go in Serie A, Lippi is likely to leave several key players on the bench against Perugia.

"I have a squad that is made up of players who know how to dig deep at times like this," said Lippi.
