No summer hols for Real Madrid's Woodgate

Real Madrid coaching staff have told defender Jonathan Woodgate he won't have any summer break.
 
Woodgate must work right through the close-season vacation so to be fit for day one of coach Vanderlei Luxemburgo's preseason program.

The England international had a successful operation in Finland on his left thigh and knee last month and will soon begin running.

Woodgate was given the once over by Real's medical staff yesterday and they were agreed that the surgery was successful.
