No Reggina deal for Real Madrid wonder-kid Portillo

Reggina have missed out on Real Madrid striker Javier Portillo.

The Serie A outfit had hoped to take the Real youngster on-loan for the second-half of the season.

But Real president Florentino Perez confirmed on Christmas Eve that Portillo would be staying with the club, despite several loan bids being submitted from clubs including Reggina, Real Valladolid and Benfica.
