Newcastle United are ready to bring Jonathan Woodgate back to England.

The News of the World says Newcastle will offer the Real Madrid defender a pay-as-you-play deal at the end of this season.

Woodgate's future is in doubt at Real following the resignation of president Florentino Perez last week and his struggles with injury since his arrival two summers ago.
