Newcastle plan summer bid for Real Madrid's Woodgate

Newcastle United will move for Real Madrid defender Jonathan Woodgate at the end of this season.

Woodgate has spent most of his time at Real Madrid on the sidelines and will be allowed to move on in the summer, when Newcastle will attempt to re-sign a player they sold for £13m.
