New Real Madrid contracts for Casillas, Guti

Real Madrid president Florentino Perez is ready to hand new contracts to goalkeeper Iker Casillas and midfielder Jose Maria Guti.
 
Both players' current deals expire in 2006 and there had been speculation that Perez was ready to cash in on them over the summer.

But after reaching a 'transfer truce' with Manchester United over Casillas, Perez will meet with the goalkeeper's representatives on May 30 to thrash out terms on a new, improved deal.

Guti has been linked with Liverpool, but his priority is to remain in Madrid and Real's board are agreed to also offer him a new contract.
