Nesta - I'm not going to Real

Lazio star Alessandro Nesta has again assured fans he will not be going to Real Madrid at the end of the season ahead of tomorrow's Rome derby.

"I will stay here. I've said it before - I've signed a very long agreement with Lazio," the defender stated today.

"Then in the distant future, who knows what's going to happen?"

However, while Nesta himself leaves room for a possible move sometime in the future, his friend and opponent tomorrow night, Roma captain Francesco Totti, is positive that Nesta will never leave their hometown.

He said: "He is the strongest defender in the world. He'll never go to Real Madrid. Alessandro is a symbol of the city of Rome and he will play for Lazio forever."
