Morientes upset over Real Madrid omission

Fernando Morientes' future at Real Madrid remains clouded.

The Spanish international striker is expected to be missing on Wednesday when Real play Racing Genk and with Ronaldo now closer to making his debut, he has dropped further down the pecking order behind the Brazilian, Raul and Jose Marie Guti.

Morientes is understood to have been very upset with not starting against Osasuna on Saturday.

He wants to battle for his place at Real, but is unsure if the club's chiefs want him around beyond January's transfer window.
