Morientes: I won't ask for Real Madrid move

Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes insists he is happy at the Santiago Bernabeu and is angry that he is constantly being linked with a move away.

"Yes I am upset, it seems that I am the one that everyone says wants to leave," he told AS. "But no, I am happy here."

"Let me make this clear so everyone knows, I am calm about my situation here and I want to stay."

"When another team needs a striker, then someone like me is always going to be mentioned in the media because I haven't played many minutes. It's flattering, but I am happy where I am."

"You can assume that I will see out my contract here."

Along with long-term admirers Liverpool, Morientes was also linked with a January move to Fiorentina over the weekend.
