Morientes: I want Tottenham move

Real Madrid striker Fernando Morientes says he is ready to join Tottenham this month.

The Spanish international centre-forward said: "Tottenham are a team with a lot of history and faithful fans who are fighting to get into Europe."

Spurs are hopeful of securing Morientes on-loan for the rest of the season with Real paying a percentage of the striker's wages.
