Moratti Rubbishes Ronaldo Rumours

Internazionale supremo Massimo Moratti has poured cold water on rumours that Ronaldo will wear a Nerrazzurri jersey again at one point, which were started by the Brazilian goal-machine himself.

The Real Madrid star, who is a self-professed Inter fan, expressed his joy about the fact that Hector Cuper was shown the door during an Italian television interview and admitted that he would be open to the idea of returning to the Guiseppe Meazza now that his Argentine nemesis is no longer.

"Let's face it, Ronaldo was a guest of a television show and they were only hoping for him to say something like it," said Moratti in reaction. "There's no reason to speculate about it anymore."

"Ronaldo has not said anything that he hasn't said before. We all know what he thought about Cuper and how it played a role in him going to Real Madrid. He only repeated it."

Moratti concluded by expressing his hopes for a new begginning but stressing that Cuper's successor should be given time to fully assert his influence on the team.

"I have now appointed Zaccheroni because he is a coach I have a really high opinion of."

"I decided to take this route. Of course I hope his arrival will improve our game, but it's going to take some time."
