Milan to battle Valencia, Real Madrid for Arsenal ace Pires

AC Milan have been linked with Arsenal midfielder Robert Pires.

The French ace warned the Gunners yesterday that he may refuse to sign a new contract if the club couldn't assure him of their ambition for the coming season.

Valencia and Real Madrid have been linked with Pires over the past month, however Milan could also be in the hunt if Arsenal choose to cash-in during the summer.

Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani is a big fan of the Frenchman and would prefer to sign the 30 year-old over the likes of Real Madrid star Luis Figo or Manchester United's David Beckham.
