Milan, Roma, Arsenal alerted as Guti closer to Real Madrid exit

Serie A clubs AC Milan, AS Roma and Inter have been alerted to Real Madrid sports chief Jorge Valdano's admission that Jose Maria Guti could be sold.

Manchester United and Arsenal are also interested in the Spanish international attacker.

Valdano said yesterday: "We could be ready to sell Guti. We will meet the player soon and repeat that the club believes in him."

"However Guti was left very disappointed by our signing of Beckham. It won't be easy, given his character, to keep him in Madrid."
