Milan Defeat Does Not Mean That Real Madrid Are In A Crisis

Real Madrid midfielder Royston Drenthe has dismissed suggestions of a crisis at the club after they slipped to their second defeat in three games with a 3-2 home defeat to Milan in the UEFA Champions League.

The Dutch midfielder came off the bench and scored an equaliser for Los Blancos after Alesandre Pato and Andrea Pirlo had overturned Raul's first half strike before Pato popped up again to stun the Bernabeu to silence by snatching the winner for the visitors.

"It is not a crisis, we can lose games as well. We will Play in Gijon [against Sporting] and then against Milan over there. Why talk of a crisis? We are going well in the league and the Champions League. People do not understand that the Madrid players are human and can lose," Drenthe said afterwards, according to AS.

Drenthe also lashed out at the exaggerated reaction when Madrid suffer defeat and said that it is normal for a team to lose in football.

"We must work hard to win but we lose too. If something bad happens it begin: this player is wrong, he should not be playing for Madrid….. This is football, anything can happen, I do not know what happened," he declared.
