Milan clubs hover as Valencia's Baraja plays down Real Madrid talk

Valencia star Ruben Baraja is fast becoming one of the hottest transfer properties on the market.

After an outstanding Champions League campaign, Baraja is attracting serious interest from his former Valencia trainer Hector Cuper at Inter Milan.

AC Milan are also chasing the Spanish international, who has been the subject of intense speculation over a big summer move to Real Madrid.

It's been suggested Real will offer Valencia centre-forward Fernando Morientes for Baraja, though the free-scoring midfielder is refusing to comment on his own future.

He said yesterday: "At this moment I am only thinking about the friendly against Ecuador, to do well for Valencia and to reach the Champions League again."

"On the reports that link me to Real Madrid, I do not know anything and I prefer not to comment."
