Mijatovic to hold crunch talks with Real Madrid players

Real Madrid sports chief Pedja Mijatovic admits he intends to hold crunch talks with the players when they return from their winter break on December 30.
 
Real finished the first-half of the season with a humiliating defeat by Recreativo and Mijatovic said today: "The only thing that you can consider after that result is how could it happen? It is important to explain to the players that this cannot happen, and, if they cannot understand that, we will have to take measures."

"We will see what happens. We love people who fight for everything in our shirt. And if some players do not understand this, we will look for a team that can offer more to them than Madrid."

"We signed contracts with these players and expect to repaid by efforts on the field."

He added: "The dressing room is far better than in recent years. It's more united, but it can always be improved."
