Middlesbrough, Villa target Celades accepts Real Madrid exit

Real Madrid midfielder Alberto Celades admits he is grateful to management for playing him this season - even though he will not be offered new terms.

The Spanish international explained: "I have other options. I am happy because I have received phone calls from other Spanish clubs and also from other countries."

"This year I have been given enough minutes by the coach to show what I can do, this helps to stop people forgetting about me."

Middlesbrough and Aston Villa are among clubs to be tracking Celades, who added: "Real Madrid pay me until June 30, so my commitment is to them."

"My obligation is to train as hard as I can and be at the orders of the coach. I don't have to think about anything else."
