Middlesbrough target Celades admits Real Madrid frustration

Real Madrid midfielder Alberto Celades admits he is frustrated by the timing of the club's decision to inform him he won't be offered new terms.

Celades will leave Real in the summer after not having his contract renewed and said: "Clearly, it's not pleasant to come into work knowing you're not wanted and won't continue here."

"I thank the club for informing me so to give me time to find another club while I'm still under contract, but I'm not happy they chose to tell me the day after the market closed."

"Emilio Butragueño and Sacchi met with me, in a warm atmosphere, and they said to me they were not going to renew the contract. I accept their decision."

Middlesbrough are keen on the Spaniard, who has admitted he'd like to play in the Premiership.
