Middlesbrough boss: I don't believe Man Utd rumours about Geremi

Middlesbrough boss Steve McClaren has confirmed he will fight to keep Geremi on Teesside.
With his loan due to expire at the end of the season, the Real Madrid wing-back is also a target for Arsenal and Manchester United.

McClaren said, "Geremi's ambitious and we are matching that, which is why we have a very good chance of getting him. I don't think there's any truth in the United rumour.

"We're doing everything possible to make sure he stays and will continue to do that until it becomes impossible.

"We want players who want to play for us and who are within budget. We hope Geremi is. If not, it won't happen."
