Metzelder prepares for Real Madrid arrival

Borussia Dortmund defender Christoph Metzelder has hinted he's joining Real Madrid after confirming his departure yesterday.

While refusing to name his next destination, Metzelder said: "The time I have had with Borussia Dortmund I will never forget, but the moment has arrived to play in another country, to measure myself with other players of a world- class level."

"If a prestigious club calls you, there is nothing left to think about. It is now time to sign for a great club. The date of the official announcement of my transfer will be made by the club to which I'm going to."

Metzelder has already signed a pre-contract with Real after passing a rigourous medical last month in Madrid.
