Christophe Metzelder is confident he has a place in Real Madrid coach Bernd Schuster's plans.

The Germany defender has struggled for match action this season, but says: "I do not think he (Schuster) has lost confidence in me."

"After the Euros, my preseason was short and I know that I am missing things, but I'm fine."
