Metzelder: Big-money Real Madrid signings need to deliver to fans

Christoph Metzelder says Real Madrid's big-money signings have a responsibility to deliver to their fans this season.

The Germany defender has been critical of the amount of money Real have spent on signing Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka this summer.

"The game is now a business, but that money has been paid for players who can make a difference," said Metzelder. "The players now have a responsibility."

"It is not normal for a team to gather stars like Cristiano Ronaldo and Kaka."
