Mendieta in Real swap deal link

Valencia's Gaizka Mendieta could be part of a swap deal to take him from the Mestalla to Real Madrid, with Fernando Morientes going to El Che.

Real are on the look-out for new signings and this deal would probably also interest Valencia, who according to sources in Spain, are in need of a centre-forward.

Bernabeu sports director Jorge Valdano has also expressed his interest in Alaves' defender Oscar Tellez after the player revealed his desire to return to Madrid, where he began his career. This could include a swap with Real's Ivan Campos.

The move would be logical for the players, at least, as Campos is from the Basque country and Tellez from Madrid.
