Meija "not scared" of leaving Real Madrid

Alvaro Meija insists he "wouldn't be scared" if he had to leave Real Madrid this summer.

The defender is part of coach Fabio Capello's plans - for now - but knows the potential arrival of new signings casts doubt on his future at the Santiago Bernabeu.

"Every year is the same," said Meija. "You just work hard and hope to stay."

"All the players want to play and I want to play in Madrid, but I am not scared to leave, if leaving is the best thing for me."
