McManaman rules out Liverpool return

Real Madrid midfielder Steve McManaman says he'll never return to England to play.

The England international has been linked with Leeds United and Newcastle United, but insists he wants to retire in Spain.

He said, "I never think about coming back to England. I'm in a team which wins titles and is the envy of the world."

"I have been here for three years and I love the club and the city."

"I have never thought of going back to Liverpool. I have a family and many friends there but I will never come back to play."
