McManaman Key To Campo's Move To Bolton

Ivan Campo has revealed that Steve McManaman played a key role in his move to Bolton.

The 28-year-old defender joined the Premiership outfit last week after recommendation from his Real Madrid team-mate.

Through an interpreter Campo said: "Steve spoke very highly of Bolton. He told me they were a good club and an ambitious club."

Campo is expected to make his debut in a couple of weeks as he attempts to regain his fitness.
