Mbappe will sign a contract for 5-6 years at Real Madrid, will not be the highest earner in squad

After years of dragging on as an endless saga, Kylian Mbappe’s move to Real Madrid finally appears set to reach fruition.

The French youngster has vacillated at the nth minute many times before, but this summer could well be the one where the world sees Mbappe don white.

As revealed later last night, Kylian Mbappe has officially communicated his decision to leave PSG at the end of the season. Concurrently, he has given Real Madrid the green light to complete his signing and the negotiations will pick up pace in the coming weeks.

It has always been clear that should Mbappe opt to sign for Real Madrid, it will be only with a massive economic compromise from his end. After all, he will earn only a fraction of what he earned in France when on duty with Carlo Ancelotti’s men.

However, reports earlier this month said that the player was unhappy with the proposal placed by Real Madrid in that he wanted to be the highest-paid player in the team.

Now, according to reports from El Chiringuito, Mbappe will not earn more than Jude Bellingham and Vinicius Jr if he signs for Los Blancos this summer. He will sign for five or six years at least with a signing-on bonus of less than €50 million.

Now in the final six months of his contract, Mbappe will be a free agent in the summer and will arrive in Madrid with no practical transfer fee to his name.

However, if recent reports are to be believed, the player wishes to give something back to the Parisiens.

Mbappe has great affection for the French club that brought him to the limelight and made him a household name in Europe.

He will thus give PSG a part of his salary bonus from Real Madrid so as to ensure that his former club do not face a rough landing after his departure.
