Mbappe saga over for the summer, player will not join Real Madrid

The future of Kylian Mbappe was once again one of the talking points in the transfer market this summer.

The player announced his decision to stay at PSG earlier in the window, but knowing he may leave for free in 2024, PSG wanted to offload him this summer.

This had put Real Madrid on red alert, but the Spanish giants are yet to make any substantial move so far.

With just a few days remaining before the transfer window slams to a shut, El Chiringuito has come up with a verdict on the Mbappe saga.

The Spanish news outlet suggests the Mbappe saga is finally over and the player will remain at PSG this month.

El Chiringuito’s claims were echoed by the reliable Fabrizio Romano as well. The Italian pointed out that Real Madrid have held no negotiations with PSG over a move for the Frenchman this summer.

As such, Mbappe’s move to Santiago Bernabeu this summer looks almost impossible under the current circumstances.

Real Madrid might have missed out on the chance to sign Mbappe once again this summer. But the club have good reasons to believe the Frenchman will join the club next year.

That is because Mbappe has no desire to continue his spell at PSG and has so far rejected every attempt to extend his contract in the French capital.

Mbappe’s contract at PSG expires at the end of the season, meaning Real Madrid can acquire his services on a free transfer.

The Spanish giants, however, will likely have to dish out a handsome signing bonus to the French international.
