Mascherano happy with Real Madrid, Depor interest

River Plate midfielder Javier Mascherano admits he wants a move to Real Madrid.

The Argentina international is being linked with a switch to Real this month as the Spanish giants seek a new, holding midfielder for the winter market.

"Clearly, I would like to play for Real Madrid and I'm proud that they're paying attention to me, but I am very happy with River," said Mascherano.

"Also I listened to the interest of Deportivo La Coruna. I spoke with my friend (Lionel) Scaloni and he said to me that it is a very attractive club, but I do not know anything else."
