Martin blames Perez for Real Madrid board revolt

Fernando Martin has blamed the vote of no confidence he received from the Real Madrid board this week on predecessor Florentino Perez.
 
Martin resigned after failing to gain the support of his fellow directors and last night said: "Yes, I think he (Perez) was behind it all."

"I never felt in total control. In fact, Florentino Perez never called me, it was always the other way round. But he always took my call."

"My relationship with him has been lost, but maybe it can be recovered."

"I can't put a finger on why it has broken down, but I have never spoken badly of Florentino with anyone."
