Marseille's Drogba very doubtful for Real clash

Olympique Marseille striker Didier Drogba pulled his ankle in the French team's 5-0 victory over Le Mans on Saturday and is very doubtful for next week's Champions League clash against Real Madrid.

"We did what we had to do and were efficient as well," said coach Alain Perrin about his team's victory which put them top of the Ligue 1 standings.

He added: "A 5-0 win is a morale booster for our strikers before travelling to Madrid. But I can only deplore the injury suffered by Didier Drogba, who pulled an ankle muscle and is very doubtful for Madrid."

Ivory Coast's Drogba, one of the most impressive strikers in Ligue 1 last season, scored Marseille's first goal against Le Mans in the 13th minute.
