Marcelo: Mourinho has improved Real Madrid unity

Marcelo says he can sense greater unity at Real Madrid under new coach Jose Mourinho.

The Brazilian wing-back is happy with their form in preseason.

Marcelo said: "Every time we train we also fight for a spot in the line-up and the energy we put in the workouts is very helpful to the team."

"Mourinho is very honest and we feel very close to him. He has made us stronger."

"The pre-season has been good to come to terms with what the coach wants of us. The only objective we have is to focus on one match at a time. We need to fight in every game in order to go far."

"I am proud to be part of Real Madrid and I want to keep playing for this club many years. This will hopefully be a good season for us."
