Marcelo insists no feud with Real Madrid pal Ronaldo

Marcelo is backing Real Madrid teammate Cristiano Ronaldo to win the Ballon d'Or.

Ronaldo is firming as new favourite for the gong.

"I want Cristiano Ronaldo to win it. It is a very nice gesture that fans will put masks on to support him tomorrow. He deserves to win it because he has been at a high level for a long time and works hard," said Ronaldo.

He also clarified things regarding his alleged comments about last season: "When I was with Brazil a journalist asked if Iker deserved the Ballon d’Or and I said yes. From then on journalists created a big fuss about me and Cristiano Ronaldo, but our relationship is very good."
