Marcelo agent confirms talks with Real Madrid chief Baldini

Real Madrid director Franco Baldini will be in Brazil today for talks with Fluminense over teenage wing-back Marcelo.

The Brazil international, 18, has been likened to Real superstar Roberto Carlos and Baldini is aiming to tie up an agreement which will see the youngster move to Madrid in January.

Richard Alda, Marcelo's agent, confirmed a planned meeting with Baldini: "He'll be here on Monday to speak with us. Marcelo is interested in playing for Real Madrid."

Real sports chief Pedja Mijatovic has given the green light for Baldini to make a £4 million offer to Flu for the player.
