Manchester United push for Real Madrid's Solari

Manchester United are ready to accelerate talks with Real Madrid over midfielder Santiago Solari.

United monitored the Argentine's on-off move to Inter Milan last month, but now know that with the January 31 deadline having fallen, Inter no longer has first option on the midfielder.

Real sports chief Jorge Valdano has confirmed Solari will be sold in the summer. The player's representatives also went public during January confirming United's interest.
