Manchester City target Aguero still wants Real Madrid move

Atletico Madrid striker Sergio Aguero still has hopes of joining Real Madrid.

Aguero is the subject of intense interest from Manchester City, but El Confidencial says his preferred destination is a move across town to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real, however, are staying on the sidelines, blaming Atletico chief Miguel Angel Gil Marin, who is determined not to sell to their city rivals, for the impasse.

For their part, City are willing to meet Aguero's €45 million buyout clause and pay El Kun €9 million-a-year.
